Need help with DockClockWeather? Start with the checks below, or email axion.boson@gmail.com.
Set up your display
- Open DockClockWeather and open Settings. Choose your location, display mode, and preferred appearance, then apply your changes.
- For system screensaver use, select Set as system screensaver in the app and choose DockClockWeather in Android settings. Screensaver availability and charging or docking options vary by device.
- If a layout looks different after rotating your device, check the settings for that orientation.
Weather or location is not updating
Check the internet connection and selected city. Device location requires Android location permission; you can instead search for a city manually. Check the weather refresh interval in Settings and allow time for a refresh.
Background alerts are delayed or missing
Check that background severe weather alerts are enabled and Android allows notifications for the app. Background checks are best-effort, approximately every 15 minutes; battery restrictions and Android scheduling can delay them. Keep an official source of emergency warnings available.
Remote control cannot find another display
Keep both devices on the same trusted Wi-Fi network. On the display you want to control, enable Accept remote control and apply the setting. If device discovery fails, try the displayed address manually. Guest Wi-Fi and router client isolation can prevent devices from communicating. Use pairing-code protection on shared networks and do not expose the service to the internet.
Privacy and diagnostics
Optional diagnostics are off by default. The full policy is available under Settings → Privacy & About → Privacy policy, including when the device is offline. Read the online privacy policy for data use and deletion details.
For deletion of previously uploaded custom diagnostics, email the support address above and include your analytics identifier if available. Do not email passwords, pairing codes, or precise location.
